Elvis At 70

January 08, 2005 | People
Experts at St Andrew's University used the latest hi-tech wizardry to reproduce the natural effects of ageing on skin, hair colour - and hairline.Boffs have knocked up an image of what Elvis Presley would look like now to mark his 70th birthday.

Professor David Perrett, who helped put together the image, said: "In the newly generated image there was no attempt to change the appearance of the hair.

"In common with many celebrities, Elvis may have chosen to use artificial hair and hair colour. "While plastic surgery is often used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, the underlying skin texture and blotchy appearance may still give away the age of a person's face.

What an absurd picture. Every year these guys at St Andrews come up with 'a what Elvis would have looked like' picture. Are they desperate for a bit of publicity or something. I'm not even convinced they've even used a true picture of Elvis as the basis! Looks like a composite of different photos put together, resulting in a face that looks nothing like Elvis! You can get the same kind of effect if you use two lefts or two rights of a face - result a completely different looking person - even Elvis' face was symmetrical!!

What a stupid and crappy looking image. Looks nothing like our ELVIS Presley. Looks more like Star Trek's Dr.McCoy. The truth is that you will NEVER get to see an old Elvis, there will never ever be one. Elvis Presley will always be Forever YOUNG & BEAUTIFUL.

My uncle had Elvis lips and eyes all his life. He turned 70 last month, and he still has them. These "experts" are all wet! Elvis will always look like Elvis. I agree with all of the other posts on this subject! Get new experts!

I love these idiots who try to figure out what Elvis would look like now. None were ever close. Do you see how good Priscilla looks now. Well, Elvis would look at least that good. It's real sad that these fools can't find anything else better to do with their time.

In a way it's not important to me how Elvis would look today at the age of 70 - it would be more important that he really was alive. And saying that it would be both interesting and creative to come up with a tracklist of his latest CD. What kind of music would he perform (still cover other artists hits or perhaps he finally would have teamed up with some talented songwriters and producers like in the Memphis 69 session. Jim Hoff

These kind of How-He-Would-Look-Like pictures always scare the hell out of me. I don't want to know how he would look now. None of these pictures do Elvis justice, certainly not this one. Waste of space, if you'd ask me. The image of Elvis that I have, is so much nicer, friendlier, warmer, so much more honest and flattering than any of these computer attempts. Images like these hurt Elvis's memory, so why would we even pay attention to this pseudo scientific crap...? Give me a picture of Elvis 1935-1977 any time, over this tabloid nonsense... Sorry - had to get that out of my system. It's not fun, being confronted with this kind of Geraldo Riviera B.S. when you're looking for interesting EP-news...

I don't like it either! I'm sure he would have had plastic surgery just like the rest of the rich and famous. Priscilla I'm sure has had a face lift and who nows what else. Boy, she has done well for being an ex-wife.

I relly dont care what he would have looked like, if we could still have him with us. I saw Elvis 36 times and i wish every day for the chance to go one more time and hear him sing. I will always mourn the lost of him. We all have things in our lives to deal with, he was no differnt, was his death a way for him to no longer be sick, lonley, etc. Maybe it was. Had Elvis had the love and support that we all know he needed it might have been a happy ending. So as i said if we could have him with us now and be able to once agine enjoy his god given gift do you relly care about his looks. The King Lives Devon

Disgusting... I mean look at the picture! Probably taken from Elvis' 60s period. It should be from 70s period. And people really don't care about his view too much. I mean this is ELV1S...Elvis of 50s,60s and 70s..We'd like to remember him in that way. That's all. By the way Happy Birthday Elvis whereever you're...
