I`ll be watching the programme on ITV.I don`t particularly like Priscilla Beaulieu or Lisa Marie, and i don`t expect to see anything truly `unreleased` or `unseen`,however,Elvis on prime time, mainstream,is something to be pleased about. I guess the point of this(other than publicity for someone`s book!) is to inform the uninformed, and try to convert the unconverted. I therefore wish that there was no footage of the 70s.Don`t get me wrong,70s Elvis is actually my by far favourite period of The King. However if any vaguely interested passer by`s are going to watch it they will automatically spout more `jumpsuit insults`. I know leaving it out is kinda re-writing History, but in a 1hour special,i think showing The King at his physical best, and looking stunning, would be a great opportunity to win some new and younger fans. His voice? Stunning in any era.TCB

I think you'll find brief clips from Aloha/On Tour and the CBS special in the program, but there will probably be more dominance in the 4.5 hr DVD set. Including adverts which will cut the program down to about 48 mins, they've got a lot of ground to cover.

I thought the show was not as good as the hype. You did not get much of Lisa-Marie or Patsy Presley, hearing mainly from Priscilla giving us the same sensationalism we have already heard 100 times before, i.e drugs etc. The footage is sparse and the Elvis shots have already been seen on Joe Esposito's home movie video released several years ago interspersed with the '68 Comeback and Aloha. Apart from a few shots of Lisa-Marie as a baby there is nothing new here.

I too looking for to nights itv showing I hope its better than the book but you see we elvis fans who have been fans since ninteen hundred and something we know nearly everything about him and his music,so this would be alittle mundane to us but if its to appeal to the younger generation they might have to go back to basics which might be interpeted as repeating themselves

May 24 Eduardo wrote, Fully agree with you Lindes that this is a rip off, totally. So many elvis fans worldwide will be disappointed again, buying this book from the Beaulieus, not the Presleys. only Lisa. the rest are comments from Priscilla, Ann, Michelle and Paul. so what is this garbage. Also the photo material is stupid and crazy: we are not interested to have a picture of elvis' haircomb, shoes, aftershave bottle, etc etc. I am sure that if Priscilla wanted to sell zillions of this book, she should have published one of those topless or naked Polaroid shots that were taken by Elvis himself and that disappeared all of a sudden from elvis' bedroom drawer (right, Joe?) and that should sell millions, not zillions though. In order sell zillions Cilla would have been better off publishing a topless Ann-Margret (taken from her movie scenes with Jack Nicholson - public domaine I'd say) and maybe Cilla would have gotten a personal kick out of that, who knows. All pro or contra comments from elvis fans in the world are welcome on this ??! Remember elvisNEVERleftthebuilding
