Time-Life Music is teaming up with Henninger Vision, a leading provider of complete, end-to-end creative audio and video-based production and multimedia solutions, for the Time Life Series DVD release of "Ed Sullivan's Rock & Roll Classics." They try to offer these classic recordings in greater resolution than ever before, on a medium designed to preserve and present these historic performances for decades to come. "It allows us to give viewers crystal-clear MPEG-2 video, still images, and text in addition to extended audio range. All of this new technology makes watching and listening to these historic releases that much more enjoyable."
The team is working from the original tapes of the Ed Sullivan Show, developed a package containing material not seen since the original program broadcasts. Time Life Music's package includes such rock and roll legends as the Mamas and the Papas, Elvis Presley, the Beatles, the Byrds, the Doors, Jackie Wilson, the Supremes, James Brown, Bo Diddley, Stevie Wonder, the 4-Tops, and the Temptations.
