Is there a downloadable clip from this DVD somewhere, just to get an idea of the image quality? I've seen bootleg DVDs thats been of so poor quality that it could just as well have been an Elvis impersonator being filmed, it was nothing but one blurry white dot shaking about the screen.

Japanese TV professional film shot as an advertisment for the Aloha special - why wasn't it included on the official Aloha dvd-set?

Good point Martin DJ. I`d crave to see those footage distributed on a large horizon. EPE missed a good opportunity back then by giving a real treat to the fans with such moments like these on the box set of the aloha released in 2005. I still wait for the "on tour deluxe". Hopefully we`ll have plenty of unseen shots to watch on that one...(sigh !)

Have jusrt purchased this - avoid at all costs, it's a piece of junk. The picture is incredibly fuzzy but the sound is even worse - Elvis could be singing anything for everything is distant and distorted. Yes, its an audience recording but it really is dreadful. Also included are 'Japanese Television Recordings' - do not make the mistake of thinking these were recorded by a Japanese TV company - these are simply absolute dire recording from the TV!!! Overall none out of 10. Should have used the money towards the intereactive Elvis head!!! Would have been far better spent...

SuziB you r giving false information about this DVD i also have this DVD..and i can only say ..''it's great''!! the cover may be simple but the contents are fantastic. the menu is simply cool!..you can choose what song u want to see. there's background music...it's stunning!! the picture quality is not fuzzy at all!..it's clear.. u can see elvis's face clearly( ok he's overlighted sometimes but that was the case at every concert) ( he's smiling all the time)..the sound is great too..it really matches the picture and u can really see what he's singin.. the Japanese filming is in color.. and is better i have seen so far..! all in all..if u can get this dvd !!..you will not be dissapointed..i think SuziB needs to buy another dvd-player..or glasses..cause she really is not describing this DVD..so buy this DVD you won't be sorry..i know this...i have seen so many 8MM stuff that was so bad..that this really really was sight for sore eyes..

SuziB is right. Not very good material.

Mr bruins, i'm not agreeing with both you and SuziB. what do you expect from concert filmed from the audience, top notch quality? even if was first generation, then it still wasn't perfect. i had these concerts on VHS,then comparing to this DVD release it's most certainly a huge step up!... ther'es nothing wrong with the sound and picture quality whatsoever but i'm not going to repeat to what i allready said.. these hawaii recording weren't allready in top quality but i think this is the best we can get,but i guess we will always have people who want more, and when they don't get it, they trash it to the ground.I think this DVD is great because i own alot of this material..i can definetly say this DVD is the best u can get..and there won't be any better...

Bryan, are you Dutch? Seeing that I ordr the DVD from Holland......! Really, it's of very poor quality. If it was good, I would say say, unfortunately, it's not.

Oh Lord how right you are EspenK! I happen to buy 12 dvds at a stretch and you guessed right! All were ajust as EspenK said.... A distorted dot on my huge projector screen....solely bought for my Elvis dvds! And yeah I do have quite some that are fanstatic ones too! Especially the vol1&2 He Touched Me. Beautiful and wonderful to see the King sing like he just loves doing gospel! His face is so transformed! If you dont have it get it! Tooooo beautiful to see. And by the way did I laugh reading Espenk's discription of the dvds!!
