As I worked with BMG on this CD I would like to give you all the information. The tracks are chosen, because on one hand these are the chart positioned songs of Elvis in our country, on the other hand the songs have a relation to Germany for many different reasons. Some of the songs are done by German composers, some of the songs where related to German artists or had a German influence and many more reasons. There was a lot of heart and thought going into it. Most of all it's special, because BMG gave us German Elvis fans the opportunity to work on a CD not just for Elvis fans, but for anyone who loves musik, especially new generations. By the way, "Impossible Dream" was a hit for Sarah Connor in 2007, that's why it's close to "ALLC", but not everyone would know this. The difference beetween the the issues "Elvis in Deutschland" is the main product, but BMG decided to dish out two more editions with the "Bad Nauheim Edition" and "Friedberg Edition". The tracklist remains the same, but the wonderful booklet has an additional part about the two towns Elvis worked and lived. Germany provides Elvis fans with more than seven years of Elvis festivals in those little areas. The budget is so small, that advertising is not in the dimension of Memphis or else. This in the eyes of BMG gives the two little towns a bit of push to their wonderful festivals and makes Elvis fans in Europe notice their efford. On October the 1st there is a lot going on in Bremerhaven, Bad Nauheim and Friedberg. Germany is really celebration this great golden jubelee and these CDs are part of us being proud of it, to have had Elvis living in your country, the only he lived outside USA.

I remember a meeting by the Elvis Presley Gesellschaft at Bad Nauheim sometime in the early eightees when the late Eddie Faddal was with us. I came all the way travelling from Switzerland on th "Frankfort Special" ;-) Thank you so much for your hospitality back then. Remember thos black pumpernickels I had for chow back then...;-) My regards to everyone and especially to Hel Rader. One of the finest radio men in the world. As well as to Claus-Kurt Ilge, Elvis Presley's teenage friend while he was stationed at Bad Nauheim. So enjoy the ride and let's rock! Peter from Switzerland.
