It looks like the "American Triology-CD" might be a regular RCA release? Its got the RCA Logo.. and not the "FTD" logo on the album / CD cover. Are these both FTD releases?
shaneleebrown wrote on February 22, 2007
I think its just to replicate the covers of the period. It looks nice though.

Well....kind of simple....

What...??? A decent looking covers from FTD ...please, pinch me! But of course, not all is well at the FTD world ....the RCA logo is on the cover (it's been on FTD release before, and I ain't talking about the Classic series), despite it being an FTD release and, once again, an expensive one! - why Ernst wonders why some fans download FTD cd's is beyond me

Isnt that pic on american trilogy from elvis on tour? the one from greensboro ,which should have already been put out on ftd? i like that cover but it should be the cover for that show from on tour(which again is long overdue)as for the la book,i dont care to pay another $70 for a book, sorry ,many will say but rememeber when we got nothing during 80's etc, but sometimes it becomes about quality and not quanity, or in a perfect world it would be!

100% happy with the L.A. book cover-tremendous shot- i'm getting REALLY excited about this release now and only around 6 weeks away-yippee!

Don't mind the Mature fellow: he loves to rile people up here just for the sake of it. I will say it is hard to keep up with all the releases. This is becoming a very elite hobby, financial-wise. That said, the covers look impressive, and yes, I do in fact look forward to the book/CD project about Los Angeles. After all, he is dead and these are ways to keep him going. "Elvis Fanatics only" need apply. :)

What does it matter if the vintage RCA logo is on the front?! ("All is not well in the FTD world"!?) It's a nice touch and gives it a nice vintage feel. Hardly a matter for derision and it's NOT a mistake.
Palle wrote on February 23, 2007
Yes, it does matter. It's an FTD release, not an RCA release - despite FTD being somekind of a sister-company to Sony/BMG that owns the RCA logo. The RCA logo belongs on the classic albums where there was an RCA logo on the original vinyl releases. Oh, and I will not be buying the book, but I'll buy the cd when I can find it on Ebay
ElvisDayByDay wrote on February 23, 2007
More FTD reissues feature original logo's, so what is the problem? Many designs are based on releases that never were released or Vegas Menu's form the engagement of the concert, logo's are part of the "authentic look".

Complaining about 3 letters, RCA or FTD, please...the covers look great!
stanton wrote on February 23, 2007
Goodlooking cover; to put RCA on the cover means that FTD has no problem in putting the company on that has been on most Elvis Sound Tracks and is neither vain nor selfprofiling, but gradeful to what RCA has acomplished through it`s years with Elvis. And that - at least to me- is a good sign. A sign of maturity, sophistication and honorable, too.

Greg i know your kidding right? the cover for american trilogy i like very much, i even like the release, was just making a point about on tour shows not being released as of yet,my oppions are my oppions, nothing more,i do like it, that here you can actually have oppions unlike some other sites, and greg please tell me were u buy these books? elvis.com is the cheapest but they cant ship properly,so please tell me, am i suppose to pay $130 like some sites ask for these books, and am i suppose to like everything, simply because its elvis? I have looked and looked and no one other than elvis.com has these books for under $100 and i aint fooling with them anymore!

great covers!!!

Instead of buying from Ebay, why not support the many Elvis outlets that supply these items? You can choose from "elvis.co.uk", the Official Elvis Presley fan club, "elvis the man and his music", "the Elvis shop", "Elvis Unlimited", "Elvis international", this website or Elvis-collectors.com. There are others too. You can also buy these from dealers at Elvis events staged around the world. Plenty of places to buy from.
mature_elvis_fan75 wrote on February 24, 2007
Tony you dont mean elvis.com do you? the so called official website of elvis, those guys will throw your order in a box litterally!
Palle wrote on February 26, 2007
