Unfortunately, many Elvis biographers, book publishers - as well as record companies - have few thoughts regarding which cover photos they ought to use. And this is yet another sad example. Let's see. It's a book about Elvis' connection to East Tupelo, the hometown he left in 1948 when he was 13 years old. Yeah, let's use a cover photo of Elvis when he is 42 years old, performing on stage in a nothern state...(sic!) This is SO stupid.

Its not that is a horrible photo but it has nothing to do with the book's content other than it is Elvis. Geez just a little bit of thought helps once in a while.

dgirl : agreed ! The photo itself is OK, but indeed, has nothing to do with the book's content . Scotchtape, frame and blue support, board with holes , jeeeez, strange cover ! Always El.
