yep another rehash, they tried this years ago except it was called the great performances, holds nothing of intrest for seasoned fans , but maybe of intrest to newcommers/fans.

The Great Performances was a totally differend release than this one. It looks like a winner to me!

Why no on tour? simple they think its Elvis not at his best, yes some great performances from On Tour ,but it seems will have to settle for our vhs copys!

I have to agree an opportunity missed not including ''Bridge over Troubled Waters'' this is great from On Tour. Lots of goodies left out. Think I have had enough of the early performances and this might spoil this release. What I would like to see is ''On Tour '' DVD Release. A DVD of the movie songs and there are plenty to choose from.

I must correct my mistake......''Bridge over Troubled Water''.......also ''Proud Mary'' would have been good also in this dvd release

Yes, Ken, we've had too much of the early performances. Let's have more of Elvis in his clown suits.

No Elvis on Tour because - well Elvis looks pretty crap in the concert footage - pasty and chubby - and his singing is fairly poor singing through his nose not his gut - also in some scenes/shots he is very clearly on something - the eyes are dead and the speech is slurred. Maybe that's why -

Fantastic release. This will be huge worldwide and bring Elvis many new fans. DVD is where it is now at and not CD.

The US really gets screwed on this one. Half the package!

I think the criticism of "On Tour" is overly harsh. I'm glad to see this, particularly for newer fans, but why wasn't this put out in 2002, when E1 hit the scene, or least in '03? A day late and a dollar short, as usual. But better late than never. :)

So its always about the looks isnt it? it amazes me,On Tour has some great performances, and all very high energy, dont worry On Tour hater's,you dont have to worry about a dvd set and having to look at a chubby and pale Elvis,it seems even the cd set that was prmised moons ago is not a priority anymore, yes id like to see On Tour footage instead of 50's.but i dont put down the 50's footage, and yes the usa once again gets the scraps, but that seems to be the policy now!

I want the International version instead of the USA version. Why don't they have one version that is the same both in the USA & Internationally? It really is frustrating when there is 2 or 3 versions of the same release (depending on where you are or where you buy it). I'm glad this release is out but how about making one version instead of 2 or 3 variations. Why spend hard earned dollars on the USA version when it only has half of what the International version has?
mature_elvis_fan75 wrote on September 22, 2007
Why you ask? because they want to annoy the fans, nothing new really!

The US version also contains bonus material: Home from army press conference March 1960. Press conference for Madion Square Garden. Engagement-June 1972. A little consulation for not getting the rest of the material. Also, the product image is not the final artwork.

I saw both versions of That's The Way It Is last week, Don't Cry Daddy wasn't inlcuded in either.
