I have no need or desire to learn Dutch, Mr. Baggypants.

Bottomline here is these releases do some harm. I agree with PJones that if a person buys these sub-standard releases, then when a real good legit BMG compliation comes along, will pass it up because 'I already have most of these songs'. No doubt these type of CDs hurt the sales of the 'real' ones.

You dont need to teach me Elvis History, mr Jones. And for sure I make mistakes in English spelling. Its not my first language, but I try the best. You try Dutch, after all this site originated in Holland, and is run by Dutchmen. You try our lingo, and I will gladly correct the spelling mistakes you are making.

I think baggypants, your pants are too tight! Maybe you should let out a notch in your belt because I think it's hurting your capacity for reasoned argument and respect for people's opinions. So what subject did you become so clever that you can establish that I'm not too bright? Not English I think judging by the misspelling. Perhaps the Internet is new to you and you do not understand the concept of a forum. Perhaps also, some people may make the argument that with so many releases flooding the market, it may harm potential sales with confusing, lacklustre compilations lasting twenty minutes from obscure labels in dodgy quality. Back in the 70's, Elvis' music was still riding high and RCA could get away with albums like "Having Fun On Stage" or "Elvis Sings Hits From His Movies" to fill in whilst trying to get Elvis to make more studio material. Today however, the market is totally different or perhaps you live in a time warp. Other performers, such as Rick Nelson, Roy Orbison and Johnny Cash to name but a few, do not have their music treated with such disdain so why expect it from our man?

I didnt exspect you, of all people here, to understand my point... so cleverpants, explain me youre goofy remark : Oh no, not now! Its so easy to scream one liners here... prove my mail wrong, and explain to me what harm cheapo cd titles do to the collector, outside of being totally useless ? Are you short changed by these releases? Whats your problem? I bet you have a pile of Greatest Hits or Best of Elvis cds in your collection. RCA are experts in milking things dry. They have done so since the late sixties, remember? Guess not. You werent even born then, were you? But you have an opinion on just about every topic here. You love to see your name in print, dontcha? Thats okay, you have to start somewhere, I guess? The sad side to your screams for attention,is you actually have nothing sustantial to add to any topics on this site.

'Now you listened to my story, here's the point that I have made'... (nothing)

Am I speaking in unknown tongues here? Or are some of you not too bright? What I meant to say is: the collectors get more than their fair share of rare Elvis material... even now, 30 years after he died. Whats there to complain about the budget releases? Nobody tells you guys to go out and buy them. I dont. And neither do I buy any of them. But the same applies to most of the "regular" ftd releases. I dont need them. I dont want them. I dont give a damn about all the 70s output from either ftd or boots. But having read the mail from you people, here on this site, most cant get enough of the 70s Elvis. And youre gettin' it, in truckloads! So, little men, you have no reason for complaints. Here, or anywhere else. Budget or whatever hit compilations do not harm you collectors in gettin' youre "shot" of unreleased Elvis. Thank you so much for your attention and precious time.

They were not always quality compilations though baggypants.

you're right draggypants. Everyone's entitled to buy a budget release. Be it a quality release or not. Personally, I'm planning to start my own budget label too. Some cows will never stop giving milk, some cows will never start complaining..

What the f... are you youngsters complaining about?! A dozen ftds each year, countless boots ,dvds... You need more than that?! Hes been DEAD for nearly 30 years. THIRTY YEARS! Let others buy cheap compilations. Who cares?! During his lifetime tons of hit compilations were released as well... Maybe youre too young to remember...?!
