June 03, 2005 | Music
Here is the complete cover art of the Fort Baxter release "Kansas City Blues" containing Elvis' June 29th, 1974 evening show in Kansas City, MO. The first reactions appear to be positive, many new pictures in the booklet, and a more clear sound in comparisson to the original release of this concert. The newly added songs "Steamroller" and "Can't Help Falling In Love" come isn a bit lesser quality.

Track listing:

See See Rider / When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold Again - Blue Christmas / I Got A Woman - Amen / Love Me / Trying To Get To You / All Shook Up / Love Me Tender / Hound Dog / Fever / Polk Salad Annie / Why Me Lord? / Suspicious Minds / Introduction of the band / I Can't Stop Loving You / Help Me / Bridge Over Troubled Water / Let Me Be There (with reprise) / Funny How Time Slips Away (with reprise) / Big Boss Man / Steamroller Blues / Can't Help Falling In Love - Closing Vamp .

Hi Friends, this time Fort Baxter did a fantatisc job with this re-release. Great Booklet in very good print quality and a lot of unknown/ unseen pictures. But most important is the content: A Killer Show, one of the best concerts released as Soundbord so far. And much more important: The Soundquality! Great, less Hiss, a fuller much more dynamic and clearer sound . The only minus are the tracks from Milwaukee, they are not so good in soundquality, but much better than on "In Dreams of Yesterday" from Memory Records. Conclusion: If you like Elvis Live in the 70`s and don`t have nothing against sounboard recodings, than you have to have this great realease! It`s really worth its money! Cheers

I love Elvis Live in the 70s, and I have nothing against Soundboards especially those by Fort Baxter. I never had the opportunity to get the earlier Box-Set, so this is a dream come true for me. What an awesome CD. Great cover art, 12 page booklet, improved sound etc I am looking forward to all the great CDs from the 2 "live" box-sets will eventually be issued on this format.
