If you want dirt from the Circle G Ranch you could buy it online - that was until Tuesday when the circlegresort.com Web site address was taken down for a little revamping.
Shortly after August 15 the circlegresort.com web site listed four levels of souvenir packages, ranging from a $1,000 "platinum" package to a $120 "bronze" package. Each souvenir pack promised "beautiful keepsake items that any Elvis fan would treasure," including such items as a canister of topsoil from the ranch and a deed to a one-square-foot piece of Circle G Ranch property.
Later that day they claimed that the topsoil from the ranch wasn't really available after all. A souvenir package listing its sale among other items was all part of a web site "marketing test."
