Christmas Wishes And Other Australian CD News

Sony BMG will release a new Christmas compilation possibly titled "Elvis' Christmas Album" or "Christmas Wishes" on October 10, 2005 in Australia. The "UK 18 #1 Singles Box" and "The Rest Is Hitstory" 3CD set will be released on the same day Down Under. The Sony BMG Vinyl Classics series will be released in Australia on September 18th. as originally announced however at this time the "Elvis NBC TV" Special has not been approved for release.
Sony BMG Australia have also proposed to release an Elvis compilation on the "Sony Essential Series" in 2006. This quality series featuring such artists as Bruce Springsteen (includes Bruce's version of "Viva Las Vegas"), Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson and many more).

A cd with christmas songs from Elvis? We have waited all the years to get a collection of christmas songs from the king. And now our dream will come true. I never thought that Elvis had recorded such songs! It's good to hear that Sony/BMG comes up with new ideas to promote the king.
