I'm going by Wal-Mart tomorrow right after work to pick up my copy. This will be my first purchase in years of an Elvis cd in stores, with the exception of Viva Las Vegas only because of the unreleased 69 show. I'm loking forward to the enw backings and mixes more than I am the actual duets. It's been a long time since we've had a new sounding Elvis.

I agree with elvislives72 (apart from the typos! ;0) ) I don't know what some of you guys expect, let's not forget he died over thirty years ago. Fans of any other artist that has been gone this long either just don't get any new material or if they get anything it is in a much smaller volume compared to the sterling work Ernst is doing. You may not agree with every new release but I, like el72, am really looking forward to something fresh and new from Elvis. Okay, he hasn't re-recorded them himself...that really would be a feat, but at least tacking on someone else’s voice will give them the opportunity to sympathetically re-work some of the somewhat dated backing tracks! Also, please be honest and recognise that Elvis's vocal on some of the Christmas songs he recorded is patchy to say the least. Not the early stuff but Silver Bells and First Noel definitely spring to mind as being almost painful to listen to and Oh Come All Ye Faithful to me sounds like a dirge with a very slurring Elvis! I say bring on this new release; Elvis head shaped slip case an’all! Sympathetically updated (and therefore new to my ears) material has got to be better than re-issue after re-issue, a very slightly different version where Elvis burps at the end or another Spankox travesty!!

I totaly agreed with CharlieRogers. It's like years ago when they released If every was .. package What a great longbox version. And it's difficult to get everybody satisfied. But i like these project. It's done with respect and eveyvbody has done a good job. But it's not a new idea .Because RCA didi it long time ago with recordings of Jim Reeves. And his fans never complains. That.s the difference between fans from another fans and Elvis fans not any single time satified. thera always something to complain
