The "Hitstory" compilation re-enters the UK album chart at #40. This stretches Elvis' span of hit albums to 49 years, and two months (From "Rock 'N' Roll", charting the week ending 3rd November of 1956, to "Hitstory", week ending 31 Decemeber, 2005), a record in the UK for either albums or singles.

Hello ! Hitstory was at # 42 last week in the UK album chart ; consequently , I think it is more accurate to say that Hitstory is now back in the top 40 rather than "re-enters the UK album chart" since it never dropped off the official top 75 since its entry. Hope this can help.
