Chips Morman Ready To Sue Sony BMG?

Chips Morman said to be considering a lawsuit vs. Sony BMG asking for producers royalties on music Elvis recorded at the American Studio's in Memphis in 1969. Sony BMG's stance is that the services of Chips Morman came with the studio when they leased it for Elvis. Insiders say Morman was specifically hired to produce and thus is entitled to the royalties.

It's been 37 years since those sessions were done. There's a thing called the Statute of Limitations. That might be overturned IF he has an iron clad contract that states he was the producer of the sessions, was to be listed as such and recieve a set amount of royalties. I doubt that was the case. In my opinion he doesn't have a snowball's chance in Hell of winning.
