Good news as the new Legacy release, ‘Elvis – Recorded Live On Stage in Memphis’ becomes a new entry in the UK official Album charts at #74.
Meanwhile ‘The Nations Favourite Elvis Songs’ album drops from 49 to 58 on this week's UK album chart.
The album drops out of the UK Top 100 albums in its second week of release
The album sold just over 2,000 units in it's first week of release in the U.S.A.
Not only are the Elvis CDS, for the most part, being ignored by Newspaper and media, the CDs are also being ignored by advertising. Usually a CD in its first week of release is advertised at a sale price, but this doesn't happen often with the Elvis CDs.
Am I the only person to notice that The Sunday Times never reviews Elvis releases. Obviously the "Critics" there, who plainly do not like Elvis, hope that if they ignore him then he will be forgotten..
The album has entered the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart at 185 for w/e 5th April, 2014.
RCA-Sony Records, Once again did an amazing job on the legacy Edition of "Elvis-Recorded Live on Stage in Memphis-at the Mid South Coliseum". And, the 2nd disc-The test run-recorded in Richmond Virginia is just as exciting as the Memphis concert on disc One. I Love the booklet and the photos and the liner notes. Only thing, that I am disappointed in, is the lack of promotion for this CD. Most Music stores, didn't have the CD in the store on release date ! And the few stores that had the CD later in the week, only stocked one or two copies ! Thankfully Amazon.com, had the CD in stock and I ordered it and I am loving it !
Would those 1,289 copies be British sales? If so, I wonder how the release is doing in the US.
The album sold 1,289 units in it's first week of release.
