Well Charlie came on rte 3 ok but you arnt going to like it. He said that the C.Parker was the best thing that ever happened to Elvis and he never took advatagte of Elvis. Ofcourse then that puts all the blame for the silly movies and stupid image created onto Elvis. Charlie you plonker!

I think some of you might want to think about the fact that as the years go by some choose to villify those who have passed on. Charlie respected the Colonel, as did Elvis. Sure they had differences but they worked through them. Think about what culture was like then. People did not speak as openly as they do now and when they had an agreement they lived up to their bargains. If Elvis had hated the Colonel or felt he was being used he would have changed managers. Sure looking back we can say well he should have done this or that but we weren't there. Hindsight is always 20/20.Regardless, Elvis performed because he wanted to and he made a lot of money, and gave most of it away.Colonal did too. They gave money for everything and some things most know nothing of. So before condeming them check your own short comings like judging people you don't know based on hearsay. Let's just enjoy the stories they can share and learn to be a little forgiving. That's how you TCB and TLC!

Rob, I do not think that that is a fair comment to make. The man lived with Elvis and is in a better position to judge than either of us. His opinion should be concidered but not dismissed if we disagree with it. I wnet to see his show with 'Kevin Doyle' & 'The way it was' Band. The show was fantastic, Charlie was excellent and so humble. I also had the pleasure of meeting him and his neice after the show. He is a gentleman. I dont think you can inslut Charlie like that without insulting Elvis.
