They are not cash in compilations. They are re-mixed and re-mastered works that need to be re-emphasized every decade in order to bring the king to the new generation..

I'm afraid they are..! Nothing new lies under the sun 'til BMG comes up with a better format like SACD for the original albums. Re-mix, re-mastering etc doesn't mean something automatically becomes any better. In terms of original intensions and ideals ,it contrary only becomes more mainstream. (my opinion) The battle of the customers (especially on the net) must be fought with merchandise and quality. (A no1 single doesn't hurt either..) A high resolution 24bit SACD is something I would call an improvement worth puttin MY money on. In terms of the "crusade" of new Elvis fans, and sale figures around 10 million, you need something fresh, something unexpected, -a little more action! However..I only wish BMG/RCA could do what SONY/Columbia has done with Bob Dylan's "revisited series". They look and sound great!
