In imitation of other countries in the world, BMG Belgium too has sent off a unique Platinum Award for ELV1S, 30 #1 Hits. The plaque with a touch of gold to it, will be presented to Priscilla and Jack Soden on January 8th , Elvis’s 68th birthday.

Because of its unusual size (25x25 inches) we doubt that the Belgian trophy gets a spot on the walls of the Racquet ball Building – but still, it’s the thought that counts. The platinum disc represents sales exceeding 50.000 units. Expected is that ELV1S will reach the Double Platinum status early next year.
