People try & manufacture collectors items by limiting editions and putting things out of print real soon. Its all bogus. In a few years no one will care about an item like his or a Tunzi book. The really true collectors items are the things that came out in his lifetime especially the 50's EPE items, Suns, EPs, and all original pre-1977 non-bootleg items in mint condition. I have been dealing Elvis for nearly 40 years now. I speak from experience.

Steve V, totally agree with 'Limited editions' tags and collectables especially as just about most things Elvis seems to have this as a selling point?.Now having all the original SUN records,HMV singles, albums and a lot of early Elvis RCA releases these are 'true' collectables.Have seen some really high prices for modern 'collectables' and to be honest a item is only worth what someone is prepared to buy it for.?.....so my advice do your homework before parting with your cash and then you know you have paid the right money.

I just bought it because I wanted it. Same reason I buy anything Elvis. Collectible never entered my mind. In fact, the truly collectible Elvis items would be way out of my price range.

The original newsletter from FTD to dealers states following: "Please be advised that BLUE HAWAII VINYL EDITION (FTD 78-33) is sold out." Does "sold out" really mean it's been deleted? I think, there could also be a second edition...
