Two years ago, Belgian Elvisfan and collector Peter Verbruggen started a campain to persuade the Belgian Postal Service (De Post/La Poste) to release an official Elvis stamp. Letters were written back and forth, but with no immediate result. Peter later sent in his book "King of Belgium" for additional information on Belgian Presley-links. This time, at least somebody in Brussels listened. After negotations with the Elvis Estate, the Postal Service finally agreed to release a sheet of 15 different Elvis-stamps. Presentation is scheduled for September 28th. As only 150.000 stamps (or 10.000 sheets) are printed, these high priority stamps are bound to become collector's items. Selling price is 16 euro a sheet, stamps are not sold seperately. Exclusively available at De Post/La Poste affiliates.
