Auction

For the first time ever significant archival material relating to the career of Elvis Presley will be made available to the public through an auction being held on behalf of Elvis Presley Enterprises. The proceeds will benefit the creation of Presley Place, a building fund for the creation of Presley Place, a transitional housing development in Memphis.

The auction will take place Columbus Day Weekend over the course of three days - October 8, 9 & 10 - at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. The items will include not only actual Elvis-owned garments, automobiles, furniture and other "physical" objects plus extremely rare memorabilia, but also many significant documents relevant to his career. Original contracts and correspondence signed by Elvis, Colonel Parker and Sam Phillips.
