Juliens Auctions held it's 'Music Icons' auction last weekend, containing 48 Elvis related items. The top 3 sold items are:

- Gibson Guitar ($20,480)
- TCB Necklace ($17,920)
- Handwritten Set List ($6,080)

It is remarkable that some nice items are sold for a low price. The latest auctions with Juliens have lower prices than auctions with Heritage or GottaHaveRockandRoll.

A recent auction sold a make up set of Boy George for even a higher price than this..

It isn't just about the items...it is about the authenticity that goes with them. The certificate with this latest TCB didn't even say it came from Elvis! Dr. Nick's diamond TCB sold just a couple of years ago at a Juliens auction for over $100,000! The more items that come down the line with questionable documentation, the more you will see low prices. Prices for Elvis pieces with solid documentation are still doing very, very well. Michael's jacket did so well because it was an iconic piece from the Thriller video...put the Aloha suit or the '68 black leather suit in an auction and you will see the same thing.

Dgirl - that's what I meant. I am surprised these items were sold at these prices. Maybe shortly after The King passed away also relatively speaking high prices were paid. I wonder if other artists stuff will follow the same slow decline or not.

Natha - by then it will be Lady Gaga or someone else's items. MJ will be lag behind others. Elvis will always be The King, but demand and prices for his items will probably continue to drop thru the years as will any other past generation star. As Steve said, sign of the times. All things must Pass.

I wonder how much their values will be after 30 years. The same for this MJ jacket, Steve.

I heard MJ's Thriller jacket went for 1.8 mil. Sign of the times, things change.
