Another Frank Sinatra Show DVD Release

December 02, 2003 | Video
A press release we found on the FECC messageboard. Music Video Distributors and Quantum Leap have announced the home viewing release of The Frank Sinatra Show: Welcome Home Elvis for North American distribution on DVD.

In 1957 Timex sponsored a series of TV Variety Show Specials starring The Frank Sinatra Show broadcast on the ABC Television Network. The last in the series taped on May 12, 1960 in Miami was perhaps the best of all, featuring Elvis Presley upon completion of his National Service. Also featuring Sammy Davis Junior with guest star Peter Lawford, Joey Bishop, Nancy Sinatra, The Nelson Riddle Orchestra, Leona Irwin and The Tommy Hansen Dancers.

The disc will contain the original fullscreen and mono of the original release with no extras. Arriving on February 10th, the disc will sell for $14.95.

I only hope the picture and sound quality is much better than the R2 version I purchased and at a much more expensive (GBP14.39) price than the $14.95 for the R1 version. What next? The Milton Berle Show from the USS Hancock in COLOR?!!
