If this is what you get when you're an Elvis Insider, I'm glad I'm on the outside. Why anyone would like to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the release of Kissin' Cousins or the 55th anniversary of Elvis graduation from high school is beyond me. And EPE should check their facts: Girl Happy was released in 1965 (can't celebrate that one until 2010) and 2009 is the (long awaited...not!) 40th anniversary of the release of the films Charro! and The Trouble With Girls, not the 35th. How about this instead EPE: Let's celebrate in 2008 the 35th anniversary of Elvis On Tour winning a Golden Globe Award, with the release of the movie on DVD with all the outtakes there is. Now that would be a benchmark to look forward to!

Well said ThomasM. I agree with 100% with the anniversary of Elvis On Tour. EPE (or Warner)take note.

I was an 'Insider' for one year and didnt renew. I was not impressed.

Personally, I plan to carry on with my regular, everyday life and let all this just pass me by. I'm not big on Elvis anniversaries. I try to "celebrate" Elvis everyday.

It's not a magazine, and some people find it interesting. It certainly isn't hurting anyone, and if the insidersides had ANYTHING to do with getting the Elvis On Tour released, it would have been released by now. Steve, what were you looking for to impress you? Second thought, don't answer that. Smile everyone, we're one big Elvis world. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

No problem I'll answer you. For 29.95 I just expected more than a badge, a pin, and a very small quarterly newsletter . Ok so you get a 10% discount from the Elvis shop. After a year, I just thought it was another scheme to get a more $$ out of the Elvis fan. If you dug your membership, cool.

You also get free admission to Graceland, the car museum, the airplanes and 10% off everything in the shops at Graceland. I saved a bundle by being an "Insider".

I was fortunate to visit Tennessee this year and being an Insider sure came in handy. On Tour, bring it on! How about the Memphis 61 benefits? Were these recorded?

yes to ON TOUR! and for that matter next year will be the 40th anniversary of the 68 Tv SPECIAL so how about releasing that in the way it was shown on virgin video and not that HORRIBLE re-edit! i know we're all rung out of £££'s when buying things like this but please santa, just for me, the Tv SPECIAL the way it was meant to be ! Merry christmas everyone !

on the subject of on tour, i think there is some kind of legal issue here, i just can't picture e.p.e. etc. not wanting to make more money from ELVIS' name, they would never stop now.

I'm an Elvis Insider and I also visited Graceland this year from the UK (in September), but I did not get free admission. Discount on admission only. I did make use of the 10% savings though.
