Just released in the US by BMG Special Products in the American Music legends series is another Elvis Christmas CD for the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Chain. This CD contains 10 tracks and retails for $11.99.
This release contains the overdubbed / edited version of "Merry Christmas Baby" released on "This Is Elvis." This is the first official release of this song on CD. It clocks in at 2:49 according to an update on the FECC messageboard.

The version of "Merry Christmas Baby" on this BMG Special Products CD is the 2:49 overdubbed/edited version first released on "This Is Elvis." This marks its first release on an official CD.

This looks like a nice release. Love the cover. I just question the use of the song Holly Leaves & Christmas Trees. I personally like it as a song (I guess I am prone to the maudlin side of Elvis) but it is the furthest thing from a "Christmas Song" that you could get. If you feel depressed at Christmastime, this is the song to tip you over the edge!
