All Shook Up

April 21, 2005 | Music
The July 1st. release on the Follow That Dream label should be a live of Elvis' August 26, 1969 Midnight Show according to postings on several message boards. From this performance the famous laughing version of "Are You Lonesome Tonight" is the best known song. We have asked Ernst Jorgensen for confirmation.

A tentative track listing posted from the FECC message board:

Intro - Blue Suede Shoes / I Got A Woman / All Shook Up / Love Me Tender / Jailhouse Rock - Don't Be Cruel / Heartbreak Hotel / Hound Dog / I Can't Stop Loving You / Mystery Train - Tiger Man / Elvis Talks / Baby What You Want Me To Do / Runaway / Introduction of Del Shannon / Surrender (excerpt) / Are You Lonesome Tonight / Rubberneckin / Yesterday / Hey Jude / Introductions by Elvis / This Is The Story / Suspicious Minds / What I'd Say / Polk Salad Annnie (excerpt) / Can't Help Falling In Love

Elvis live in 69 - that's pure raw essential rock'n roll at its very best. At that period "The King" enjoyed to perform, and I hope we get a good sound quality for this project - and a cover in the style of Big Bos Man. I look forward to listen to "This Is The Story" live, and again we might get thrilled by Burtons inspirational and fantastic guitar work in these first live sessions. So bring it on FTD!

If you are interested in hearing " This is the Story " live it was released in 1991 on the 3-cd/lp Collectors Gold.

Dear Mofoca22! If you want to hear " Are You Lonesome Tonight?" (laughing version) in good sound quality I can recommend the 4-cd-set, Elvis Aron Presley ( the Silver Box), the great Dennis Ferrante is responsible for this good sounding collection.
