Is is possible that both labels are able to produce a product that is taken "directly from the original soundboard tapes ?" "Goose" must be mastering these in his own basement as well as running two-three different labels. I bet he never knew how much he'd be making everytime he hit the record button on that ol' soundboard back in the day. lol Seriously, aren't these soundboards supposed to be buried in some mine in.. in.. ah, who the hell knows.. ?

Internationale now goes under the name of 'BOXCAR' and will release exactly the same 2 cd set as GRM but in the same format bookwise as the now sold out TTWII set?....also DAE are behind the re-mastering and promises to be as good if not better as there previous releases.Shame that 2 now respecetd labels are fighting to release the same product......The Boxcar release will be a limited release fo 999 copies but to be honest the only difference between the 2 sets will be the 100 page book Boxcar have put together,so you all have a choice for those who will be buying this when released. The GRM will be released in the first week of October and the Boxcar are yet to release final details fo there set.I relay hope this trend of bringing out the same projects on Different labels does sort itself out and we get back to normality.

Yes i can see what you mean about a trend, too bad the Ftd was not about Elvis on tour but just an excuse to release the feb72 vegas material yet again!

I'm looking forward to having these two shows in a two CD set. I never got my hands on the "Profile" boxed set which had the afternoon show. It also comes out at a time when FTD is releasing "Good Times" - also from 1974. Has anyone else noticed that this seems to be a popular year for current releases: "From Sunset to Vegas", "Black Angels", "A Day in Dayton", etc.. It seems like everyone is working together to flood the market based on a certain year. For example, it was not that long ago that the year was 1970 with Internationale, Audionics, Gravel Road, and FTD all releasing products. Before that it was 1969 with Ken Sharp's book, and FTD release, and most recently "Return of the Prodigy." Almost fogot Tunzi's "Jailhouse Rock" book comes out in time for the FTD Vol. I & II of Jailhouse Rock. Of course who can forget all the "Standing Room Only" releases from Madison and then arrives one from FTD. Anyone else notice this trend ?

I would have to say that prices today seem to be quite cheap compared to a few years ago, these shows do nothing for me in the first place, but for new fans who are into this stuff, then im sure there happy about it!

You don't have to be vulgar about it, Ron. The fact is today's releases are a much more advance level than the '90s: the audio is always tweak in a 2009-fashion in ways people just didn't always get right back then (literally they sometimes had just a few hours of studio time, according to Ger Rijff) and they certainly didn't have professional booklets with color photos, liner notes, and other momentos. I love to unload my originals, which save for a couple are losing value because of the upgrades. Keep 'em comin, import labels.

If you have the originals you are not forced to buy it..I have them, too but I will try to get it..Why..?..I simply like the upgrated sound and the additional bits and pieces that often were left out on the first releases..also booklet and layout are very appealing to me on these new releases..excellent work in any case....for our newbies these discs are obligation..!

Who gives a sh..t! Previously released stuff. Fortunately I have the originals (again) as mentioned below. Pfff, it must be very hard financially for a 'new' Elvis fan the past few years, almost the whole Elvis bootleg catalogue is re-released. A lot to buy for newbies for relatively high prices compared to the 90's.

Have the guys behind this release and soon to be mentioned INTERNATIONALE release had a fallen out?? as both are going to issue this set pretty much at the same time,be it the Internationale release will be with a book and a little dearer than GRM release? A shame really as both labels have done some good work recently and now find themselves in a 'who can get there first' scenario.I am sure both releases will be a good as ever, just depends on which format you decide suits your pocket?....i thinlk i will wait for details of Internationale's release before commitng my hard earned cash........and by the way i though INTERNATIONALE were not doing anymore.......must have git it wrong??

The afternoon show on october 6. 1974. is released on Madison`s `Breathing Out Fire` cd in 2000, and evening show is released on Fort Baxter`s box set `A Profile vol. 2`back in 1996.

Yes, you are right mature. I sent the post on the spur of the moment without checking the correct title first. Thanks for pointing it out.

The title was stranger in the crowd not something!

Mark Wilson, the last time this happened was when FTD decided to release "The Wonder Of You" just one week after the Audionics' "Something". And by the way, is Gravel Road the new FTD?! I surely wouldn't mind that as their releases, especially the packaging, is waaay ahead!

i think i will wait for the International label's release of this in a stunning box set and 100 page book full of unreleased pictures. I have seen previews and the artwork of the International version and it is stunning beyond belief. I thought this was the announcement but they told me their announcement is next week and will be at a very low price. So it seems we will have 2 of the same releaes at the same time. Cant remember when that last happened.
