I am sorry, maybe I should have responded during the 70th anniversary article. But I didn't. However, let me say that I am so thrilled that we about to enter into another year of great history, musically & historically speaking. Here we are marking 70 yrs of Graceland, already a historical landmark, and adding to it the fact that it's resident would have been 74 and he would have finally found his place - 32 yrs after his death - at the Las vegas walk of Stars & Nashville Walk of Fame. Thanks so much to the fans. Elvis was relentless & so are the fans.

I'm hoping the FTD Sun box will be released...maybe a mainstream release with some unknown tracks on it. With all the digital technology out there...maybe a NEW Elvis movie! With what they've done with music videos, maybe they can go a step further and make a new movie...that would be really cool.

For me there will be two highlights for 2009. The first will be 'Elvis Duets' a completely new album with major male and female artists, musicians and groups duetting with THE KING on all musical genres of his career. The second will be the opening of the Cirque Du Soleil 'Elvis' Show at CityCenter in Las Vegas on 16th December.

FYI - Elvis On Tour is being shown on TV tonight in the NY area on TCM (Turner Classic Movie cable channel). It is clearly owned by them, but this could be good news. Many times when shows or movies are showing up on TV after not being seen in a while, they soon make their way to DVD. Lets hope this is the case and 2009 will see its release.

My expectations for 2009? Well, I fully expect Elvis' name and image to appear for the very first time ever in a limited edition tube of toothpaste. To celebrate 70 years of Graceland, an Impersonator contest to be held in his bathroom, and some fantastic new cd releases featuring the cast of "High School Musical" singing along to Elvis' original hit recordings but this time, for the first time ever, Elvis' vocal track will be completely removed. We will also see, for the first time ever, an Elvis Presley DVD featuring no Elvis footage whatsoever, but some stunning images of some fat retard in a jumpsuit talking about how he "isn't an impersonator, I'm a tribute artist" while at the same time slurring his words, combing his dyed black hair and shooting television sets. Oh, and some more of those crappy McFarlane caricatures. It's going to be a great year, just don't expect too much of the man himself.
