You Better Run

Words & Music:
Traditional/ Arranged by Elvis Presley(Well now you'd better run)
Run when I say, somebody's calling you
You'd better run
Run when I say, (somebody's calling you)
You'd better run
Run when I say, (somebody's calling you)
I feel like my time has long gone
Long gone, (my time is long gone)
Well now goodbye false pretender
Lord I cannot wait for you
For the bible declares you're goin' to heaven Lord
What the bible declares you do
(Well now you'd better run)
Run when I say, somebody's calling you
You'd better run
Run when I say, (somebody's calling you)
You'd better run
Run when I say, (somebody's calling you)
I feel like my time has long gone
Long gone, (my time is long gone)
Long gone
Well I met a false pretender
Whose head was bending Lord
I met him in the evening
He was headed down that long lonesome road
(Well now you'd better run)
Run when I say, somebody's calling you
You'd better run
Run when I say, (somebody's calling you)
You'd better run
Get away from here, somebody's calling you
I feel like my time has long gone
Long gone, (my time is long gone), long gone Recorded:

More JD Sumner and co than Elvis, but a good track if only a short one.
You better tap those feet ;-) Rock wine in a gospel bottle....
I very rarely play gospel songs but this is certainly uplifting.
Like this one and basically all of the gospel songs...the more "gospelish" and "praise the Lord" the better...=)
Gospel with an upbeat tempo and less gospelish. Hence quite an enjoyable recording. Apart from live recordings the main stream gospel songs are not on my daily or even monthly list. This is one of the few that make it from time to time.
This is the kind of gospel music I really enjoy, it got "spirit" and that is what it's all about. The "praise the Lord" songs are not my thing.
