When I walk through that door
Baby be polite
You're gonna make me sore
If you don't greet me right
Don't you ever kiss me once, kiss me twice
Treat me nice

I know that you've been told
It's not fair to tease
So if you come on cold
I'm really gonna freeze
If you don't want me to be cold as ice
Treat me nice

Make me feel at home
If you really care
Scratch my back and run your pretty
Fingers through my hair

You know I'll be your slave
If you ask me to
But if you don't behave
I'll walk right out on you
If you want my love then take my advice
Treat me nice

Make me feel at home
If you really care
Scratch my back and run your pretty
Fingers through my hair

You know I'll be your slave
If you ask me to
But if you don't behave
I'll walk right out on you
If you want my love then take my advice
Treat me nice

If you really want my love then treat me nice

Probably my favorite Elvis song ever. Such a shame that everyone is familiar with "Jailhouse Rock" but not this one. This song is so catchy, you just can't help moving and singing along. I think I like the movie version just a little better than the soundtrack version. I adore the scene in Jailhouse Rock, too.

Elvis recorded this one along with a lot off Christmas song in September when a former attempt in May was unsuccesful. Great track.

One of my all time favorite tracks. It is as good as "Don't Be Cruel" and unfortunately nowhere near as well known. A few years ago one of the American idol contestants performed this song and the judges didn't even know it was an Elvis song. Along with "I Beg Of You", "I Was The One", "It Hurts Me", "A Mess Of Blues and "I Gotta Know" (and a few others) this one is an overlooked B-side that could have easily been an A-side and a top 5 hit.

Personally, I always considered "Jailhouse Rock" and "Treat Me Nice" to be a double-sided hit. It still surprises me "Treat Me Nice" didn't rate as high on the charts, at least by todays standards, as "Jailhouse Rock" back in 1957. I have to say I consider the year 1957 to be Elvis at the pinnacle of his career. A 5-Star Rating if ever there was for both sides of this record.

Great song, only Jailhouse Rock is played on the radio...shame. 10 stars

This is such a stellar, fun and catchy song and it should definitely be far better known than it actually is. It should've been a big hit for Elvis and it's such a travesty that it wasn't. It's one of 24 songs that Elvis recorded that was written by the fabulous and iconic songwriting duo Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller.

Only a B side and yet a rock classic. Had all the recognised Presley mannerisms and was rightly a top 30 hit in its own right in the USA, while the movie version is also a top notch recording.

One of my favorite songs from the 50s. It got the lyrics, the sound, just everything that made Elvis so fantastic in this period of his career. This could have been another A-side and #1 hit. No doubt, five stars.

One of the best ever. Could have been a big A side also. Dont care too much for the outtakes. The arrangements were kind of hokey, but the movie version take is very good.

The fifties are full of fabulous songs. This is one of them. And after watching the movie it even thrilled me more. In the course of decades we were also treated on all the outtakes of the Jailhouse Rock movies. Well, Elvis treated us on such great songs that will for ever be engraved in my mind.

Another good movie song [couldn't say that too often in the mid 60's]. This songs reminds me of an article I read some time ago that stated that the orginal film title was to be 'Treat me Nice' Got me thinkin of other songs that could have been used as Elvis movie titles. Here's the pre army one's I came up with. Love me Tender [Poor Boy] Loving You [Lonesome Cowboy Jailhouse Rock [Treat me Nice] and King Creole [New Orleans].

Leiber and Stoller on top form with a legendary 1957 (black and white!) Elvis. Stuff of legend.
