The Wonderful World of Christmas

Rating:
3.6 / 5

Words & Music: Charles Tobias Al Frisch

The wonderful world of Christmas
Is a wonderful world to behold
The wonderful world of Christmas
Was made for the young and the old

Smile and good cheer of each neighbor
And children with cheeks all aglow
So warm is this Christmassy feeling
With the tree tops all locked up with snow

Listen to those wondrous bells
And you'll hear them say
Open up your hearts to all on this holy day
The wonderful world of Christmas
Is a joy from the moment it starts
The wonderful world of Christmas
Shall remain everyday in our hearts

The title tune of Elvis 1971 Christmas album is a short, yet pleasant feel good track that while not earth-shattering is still a nice addition to the LP. Elvis' voice is outstanding on this one.

This is such a beautiful song and it should definitely be way better known than it actually is. I love every song from Elvis' "The Wonderful World Of Christmas" album.

Great voice, good melody and really christmas feeling, not the best track on the album though, that honor goes to Merry christmas, baby, with I´ll be Home on Christmas day just behind it, IMHO. Now I´ll go order the FTD version, as I didn´t get around to that last year. By the way I gave it 4 stars.

A nice pleasant song that does not attempt to break new barriers but leaves one with a real good feeling and ready to enjoy the festivities

A really beautiful Christmas song with bells and all. Elvis sings it with great feeling.

Not outstanding. Nothing super special. But it's a pretty song, well sung that nicely evokes the best of the Christmas season. Leaves me feeling hopeful.

I like it. Its plain, simple and evokes the season. I like these original songs better than old retreads like Silver Bells, Winter Wonderland, and others which you have hears hundreds of times by others.

This has put me in the mood for Christmas, and it's only Sept, I only play Christmas albums in Dec. But when I do this is always one of them.

Lovely song on a wonderful album. Not a classic but the song oozes Christmasy feelings. Holy leaves and Christmas trees is deff the best on the album imo but 31/2 for charming number.

A good but not outstanding song that starts his second Christmas album nicely.
