Words & Music: Ben Weisman Buddy Kaye

Tony is a Capricorn, a leader of men
And he has a kinda stubborn streak
But when it comes to the opposite sex
Tony's kinda shy and weak
Oh but he can be hot stuff
See the look on his face

If you want a wedding, it's him you've gotta chase
Uh! Uh! Uh! Signs of the zodiac, signs of the zodiac
The future is in those little signs of the zodiac

Michael is a Scorpio, he can't make up his mind
Poor boy he can't decide at all
He wants one girl and then another
Soon there'll be none left but mother
Oh but Michael that won't do
That just won't do at all
You can't marry your mother
Your mother's much too tall, ho ho

Signs of the zodiac, signs of the zodiac
The future is in those little signs of the zodiac

Billy is a Libra - a sign of love
Billy has a one track mind
He's great in the kitchen and never complains
He's the happily married kind
Love is there in your future if you just look around

You don't know your astrology from a hole in the ground
Signs of the zodiac, signs of the zodiac
The future is in those little signs of the zodiac

Wonderful duet in the movie "The Trouble with girls". Lots of Fun !

I too find this really entertaining and while realising it is no masterpiece it was another piece in the jigsaw of the varied Elvis porfolio. On vinyl away from the film it loses a bit of lustre, but it still retains a charm.

A duet with Marilyn Mason. Lots of horns (clarinet, trumpet, trombone), that would've fitted on the Frankie and Johnny soundtrack. Lots of fun indeed, even for us.

This song is not even close to being a masterpiece, but I've always really enjoyed this duet immensely. It's a funny, unique and fun song.

Sheer fun. Love it. Elvis had enough masterpieces to have songs like this brightening up one's day! No need for heavy lyrics full of so-called meaning and social or political relevance. Let's just have fun with music; life is often too serious on its own.

An entertaining scene from the "The Trouble With Girls" produces this duet with Marilyn Mason (though she sings 90% of it) that was recorded right onto the movie soundtrack. Nice to have it today on CD (like Dominique from SAJ), but I am glad it wasn't released on record in 1969. I truly feel some of the silly songs would have been more palatable if they were just in the movie and not on a soundtrack LP or EP. Hard to actually rate, but I don't skip it when it plays.

A great musical scene, from "The Trouble with girls", one of Elvis best movies. The duet is great with Marilyn Mason in great shape, good voice and exact tempo. Her part "Billy is a Libra - a sign of love (...)”, is fantastic, and the best part of the song and scene. Although not a great song (not even closer to the outstanding Clean Up your own Backyard the classic Swing Down Sweet Chariot, or Almost) is a great act an very fun to watch.

Can't remember the scene in the movie, but the song (that might work in the film) is bloody awful. Terror for the ears.
