She's a Machine

Words & Music:
Joy ByersWell she's a..
Earth quakin', hip shakin', soul breakin', love makin'
Machine...hey hey!!
She's a mad stalkin', smooth talkin', slow walkin' cat
You know what I mean..hey hey!!
She'll wrap those arms around you
Like a grizzly bear
She'll kiss you every fifteen minutes
And lets you up for air
Cause she's a earth quakin', hip shakin'
Soul breakin', love makin', machine
All right!!
Well she's a
Wild movin', smooth groovin', clock tickin', love makin'
Machine...hey hey!!
She's a real breezin', rough squeezin', hell teasin' cat
You know what I mean...hey hey!!
She'll leer and make you like it
Sweet as she can be
She'll make you blow your mind before
You count to one-two-three
Cause she's a earth quakin', hip shakin'

One of a few songs I enjoy from this film track, as it has some guts about it and a modicum of intent and energy.
Good for a film track recording and although no trend-setter is more than passable. -3 stars.
Should've been a bigger hit. The anti-ELVIS media never quits.
This is such a fantastic, fun, electrifying, underrated and overlooked song and it's easily one of Elvis' very best movie songs from the 1960's. It's such a shame that this gem wasn't included in the movie "Easy Come, Easy Go".
Good song,Elvis sounds raw and rocking, shame it wasn't in the movie.
Back then, and even now with the Flaming Star Camden album rereleased on CD, I like the entire album. This song included. The soundtrack EP is what it is: One of Elvis' poorest soundtracks ever. But, this song somehow show some sparkle from our man. A better production of the session might have saved some, but is all in the history now. I don't think the movie itself reflects the poor soundtrack! I don't file the movie as the worst!
Surprisingly good, isn't it? An unexpectedly down and dirty, growly track from a lame movie containing the worst Elvis movie song of all time: "Yoga is as Yoga Does." This track, in a weird way, reminds me a little of the Sun track "You're a Heartbreaker". I like this one. It really has a nice edge to it. "Meanest Girl In Town" is similar, but this is better.
I like the "movie master" take (from Double Features) better than the released track ("Elvis sings Flaming Star".) It sure is a groovy song ;)
Invisible because there was a reaction to someone else
Listen to this recording, now listen to 'Hot Dog', 'Good Luck Charm', 'Suppose', & 'Guitar Man' I choose these 4 at ramdom. IMO no contest. I've put SAM back on my non fav rack.
A song relagated from the dire soundtrack of an equally bad film and put on a budget album. On the face of it, it doesn't sound promising, but wait! The Flaming Star album was pretty good and contained a similar batch of cast offs that were well received. This song wasn't at all bad after all.
I always liked this song. Elvis sounds like he liked this song, for sure. Without a doubt, it should have been included in the movie.
A nice, short rocker recorded for, but not included in the movie "Easy Come, Easy Go". I just listened to this song yesterday and Elvis really growls his way through this one and puts a little something extra into it (especially compared to some other soundtrack songs). I think this is Elvis' worst movie, but it did decently at the box office hitting #50 for the year and I think if RCA had released a single (and scrapped the extended play) of "You Gotta Stop" backed with "She's A Machine" they would have had a top 20 hit. Or...they could have released a five track EP with the title song, "I'll Take Love", "Sing You Children", "You Gotta Stop" and "She's A Machine". "The Love Machine" and "Yoga Is As Yoga Does" are fair in the movie, but less than exciting on record.
Compared to the movie soundtrack songs - it's reasonable. But in the wider scheme of things it really is not very good.
I Like this song, alot ! It's "Raunchy and Fun". And, I never tire, of it. It seems alot of the better, and, in some cases, harder edged songs were cut from the movies. "She's a machine" should have, stayed in the film "Easy Come, Easy Go", because it would have been, without a doubt, one of the best, standout songs, in the movie. Other questionable cuts, "Do the Vega" from "Viva Las Vegas" and "I'm a Roustabout" from "Roustabout", And many other songs, cut from the movies, which thankfully made it to Vinyl and CDs.
This song has always been one of my favourites! It was on a tape recording I got from a friend. It must have been my second Elvis cassette in ca. 1987. One of the albums transferred to the cassette was "Elvis sings Flaming Star" so this means I even like "Do the Vega". The first records / tapes you hear by an artist you love is, in most cases, special to you.
I quite like the song. And since I'm a sucker for any movie with scuba stuff in it I quite like the movie, too.
Not a very memorable song but would still have been a positive addition to a horrible movie.
Concerning sound, a harbinger of the Comeback Special.
This was supposedly recorded for Easy Come, Easy Go. Too bad it didnt make the soundtrack cause it would have been the best song from that dreadful movie. Good rocker with Elvis really sounding into it.
