I'm riding the rainbow, hitting the highway to happiness
Oh yes, I'm looking to find someone whose meant to be mine

I'm living to love
and loving to live
I've got a heart
I'm longing to give
I'm riding the rainbow, I'll follow that star to where you are

I'm riding the rainbow, heading for heaven and happiness
I guess somebody somewhere, someday will teach me to care

But being alone,
don't bother me
I'm free to have fun
It's fun to be free

I'm riding the rainbow, I'll follow that star
I'm riding the rainbow to where you are

Very recognizable piano intro by Dudley Brooks. Elvis repeats what The Jordanaires are singing, instead off the other way 'round. An enjoyable song, but not great.

Yes a breezy, happy song that leaves you with a good feel factor, from a very good soundtrack.

This is such a beautiful song and it should definitely be way better known than it actually is. This is easily one of Elvis' very best movie songs from the 1960's.

Definately a feel good song ! Elvis had a lot of these type of songs as noted, in a previous threads.

A very nice song. Kid Galahad was one of the better movie soundtracks.

Kid Galahad really had some nice songs, as did Wild in the Country and Follow That Dream. Steve V is right about the EPs; they;re generally much better than a 14 song soundtrack. This track in particular belongs to a sub-category of Elvis soundtrack songs: the cheer-up-be-happy-song. These include "There's a Brand New Day on the Horizon" and "This Is Living", "Follow That Dream," "Beyond the Bend", "Wonderful World", "Nothing Like a Song"...... most of the soundtracks feature at least one of these tracks--and frequently they are one of the few redeeming qualities on otherwise terrible albums.

Another one of those songs that you don't take too much notice of at first until you find yourself humming it a few days later. If this had been the minimum standard for a soundtrack song I could have lived with them.

Pleasant, innocuous tune from the movie and EP "Kid Galahad". This one and "This Is Living" from the same movie and soundtrack are almost interchangeable. Breezy, bouncy, fun, but not overly memorable

What an enjoyable little ditty...and one I love to sing along to!

A nice singalong song from an EP which was in the same vein.

A nice song. Catchy as heck. Kid Galahad was an enjoyable soundtrack. This & Follow That Dream were much better than the 12-14 song LP soundtracks. EPs ruled! (except for Easy Come, Easy go)
