If they say we were doin' wrong
If they say we were out too long
Well, you can say
My arms were just too strong
Put the blame, put the blame on me

Felt so good when I held you tight
Couldn't stop when we kissed goodnight
So if they tell us we don't heave the right
Put the blame, put the blame on me

What I feel is deep inside
This is real and I won't hide
Go ahead, use my name
I'll be proud to take the blame

You just did what I made you do
You love me and I love you
So if the way they talk can bother you
Put the blame, put the blame on me

Joe Babcock is supposed to do some background singing on this one, although I can't hear him. A great track with a great Floyd Cramer, be it on piano or celeste.

Great up tempo number that is just a shade behind I'm Comin' Home, and I Want You With Me from the Something For Everybody album. Infectioust beat and good arrangement on a song that found its way eventually into the film Tickle Me.

A good performance from Elvis on what turned out to be a good recording session. OK, it was revived a again for a so so movie. But at least the songs were good, albeit a bit dated compared to the music of 1965.

A good bouncy rocker ballad from a rare non movie 1960s album. One of the song that was later to save the film Tickle Me from being a disaster.

I love this song, especially the intro. Great rhythm to it, and Elvis sings it perfectly. Only wish it was longer :-)

I always liked this song a lot. Great uptempo tune with a cool backing. I was upset that this song and several other good songs were featured in silly scenes from a silly cheap movie like Tickle Me. It belittled the music in my opinion and gave ammo to the people that like to put down Elvis's music. How could anyone take this music seriously if they saw that scene? Better left played on the original LP.

I love it! It's such a cool song, I always put ot on my FB and everybody likes it. Once a friend of mine (a non-Elvis fan, 18 y.o. girl) said to me "I can't stop listening to this song over and over again!" And I can really understand her, such a catchy tune, well delivered, so smooth... one of my favorites!

Good song & nice keyboard,but it's not organ,it's a celeste,a type of piano.

A great track from the LP "Something For Everybody" and later included in the 1965 film "Tickle Me" (where he sings it to the beautiful Jocelyn Lane). This rocking, slightly bluesy, uptempo number would have been right at home on Elvis' previous studio effort "Elvis Is Back". 4 1/2 stars.

The best deployment of organ on an Elvis Presley record? Great work Floyd! Something for Everybody is such a great album; such rich instrumentation, Elvis on great vocal form. There is a wholeness to this album. Can't believe the review on allmusic.com - 2.5 stars?!! And also the fact that they don't have reviews for many of his albums...Disgrace.
