Party

Words & Music:
Jessie Mae RobinsonI feel it in my leg,
I feel it in my shoe
Tell me pretty baby
If you think you feel it too
Let's have a party
Let's have a party
Send to the store
And let's buy some more
And let's have a party tonight
Some people like to rock
Some people like to roll
But movin' and a groovin'
Gonna satisfy my soul
I've never kissed a bear
I've never kissed a goon
But I can shake a chicken
In the middle of the room
Now Honky Tonky Joe
Is knockin' at the door
Bring him in and fill him up
And set him on the floor Recorded:

Loving YouReactions
A rather quick slap dash recording for the "Loving You" soundtrack album. It's over before it starts. How much effort was really put into this song? I still like it though I consider it a "throw away" much as the tune "Hot Dog" from the same album; the start of the soundtrack filler we would experience as fans through his entire career. Songs to advance the dialogue nothing more, nothing less.
Strange lyrics about the bear, goon and especially the chicken. Even though I hate parties, I like this energetic song.
Here we get the RnR King at full speed, though it was only on a short track. One of those songs thatmade him define what RnR was all about. Other versions are just missing that extra spunk. It would have had a niceplace in the set list of the later shows.
Yes a bit too short but wild and exciting rock'n roll while it lasted. The Loving You film was supposed to be the nearest you could see early Elvis in concert, though I expect this was toned down a fair bit from the real thing.
This is such a spectacular, groovy, energetic, electrifying, unique, catchy and exciting Elvis song and it should definitely be way better known than it actually is. It's such a fun song to dance to as well. I rate this song and all of Elvis' renditions of it 5 Stars.
proof that a really good recording can be a great hit even if it is short. great rock number. anyway, just press replay, works for me.
Great song but way too short. Could have been a classic with some guitar or piano solo.
This is vintage Elvis, fun song to listen too...only bad thing about it is it's too short,it needed a guitar solo or something.
