Rating: 4 Stars4 Stars4 Stars4 Stars
Words & Music: Arranged by Elvis Presley
O come, all ye faithful
Joyful and triumphant
O come ye, o come ye to Bethlehem
Come and behold him
Born the king of angels
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
Christ the Lord

Sing choirs of angels
Sing in exaltation
Oh sing all ye rivals
Of heaven above
Glory to God, Glory in the highest
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
Christ the Lord
Recorded: 1971/05/16, first released on Elvis Sings the Wonderful World of Christmas

Masterful arrangement from another top notch album from the early 70's. This is one of those recordings where the hand of Elvis is recognizable but his voice is not that dominant. Wonderful built up towards the climax of the song. Four stars.

ha, the end of October, just November to get out of the way, then out come's my Elvis Christmas Cd's. Everyone of Elvis Christmas recordings, including 'faithful' are great. I only listen to them in December but it's worth the wait.

A song we've all heard since childhood in many different versions. I love the Elvis version, the arrangement is great and different. It builds to a great ending. Also love versions by Darin & Jackie Wilson.

Really great recording. I prefer take 2, as released on "Memories of Christmas." Running 4:05 mins. it is much longer than take 1, which is the common version.

I like this version a lot and I also like Darin's version. The two best for my money.

My sister, who is not a big Elvis fan, loves his rendition of this Christmas standard. I think it is perfectly arranged and while I would like to hear a bit more of Elvis, I appreciate that he basically sings a duet with The Imperials and allows them to shine. 5 star track and a great opening for the "...Wonderful World of Christmas" LP.

I much prefer the Christmas Duets version, but not one of Elvis' best Christmas carols.

Great recording, good arrangement and just right for Christmas morning while cooking breakfast, a full Ulster fryup.
