Lover doll, oh lover doll
Lover doll, lover doll
You're the cutest lover doll
That I ever did ever see
Let me tell you lover doll
You were meant, just meant for me

On the first time that I saw you
How I fell for your cuddly charms
Lover doll I'm crazy for you
Let me rock you in my arms

I'm so glad I found you
Never thought dollies came full grown
I'm gonna tie a ribbon around you
Wrap you up and take you home

I would never treat you badly
Like a cast away broken toy
Lover doll I love you madly
Let me be your lover boy

I'm so glad I found you
Never thought dollies came full grown
I'm gonna tie a ribbon around you
Wrap you up and take you home

I would never treat you badly
Like a cast away broken toy
Lover doll I love you madly
Let me be your lover boy

Lover doll, lover doll
Lover doll, lover doll
Lover doll, lover doll
Let me be your lover boy

Lover doll, lover doll
Lover doll, lover doll
Lover doll, lover doll
Let me be your lover boy
Let me be your lover boy
Let me be your lover boy

Fun song...fits the 50's perfect.

I've always admired this song immensely and it fits the movie "King Creole" perfectly.

I don't like the "burping" backgroundsinger. A nice song nevertheless.

Nice song delivered in a tender, slightly reticent style. Much refer the LP version with the backing group as the EP version seems slightly thin to me. Well sung by Elvis and although a lesser light on the KC album is still an excellent recording.

A good track delivered in outstanding fashion by Elvis. It is admirable and amazing the same guy who raucously sings "New Orleans", growls his way through "Trouble" and completely rocks out on "King Creole" and "Dixieland Rock" (on the same LP) can deliver this song like he does. 4 stars for the track and 5 for the LP. Not a bad song on the LP (Steadfast is over in a min and barely counts as a song).

I prefer the dry, undubbed version from the EP over the album version.

I personally like the unedited version without the Jordanaires which was featured on the 45 RPM extended play King Creole in 1958. There's too much hiss in the background with the Jordanaires added to the mix; much as Shake Rattle and Roll, when Elvis sang with himself and I think Bill Black in harmony. A shame but the recording process back in the 1950's was a little bit on the primitive side unfortunately.

Overall the King Creole Soundtrack is great and ambitious, but this track sounds already like a song from a typical 60's movie. Not bad, but a little lightweighted. A filler, but not without it's charme. 3 stars.

This song is on my take it or leave it list. Most of the time I leave it. Doesn't do much for me.

A nice track and works perfectly in the film and balances out the soundtrack. King Creole is his best soundtrack imo. It’s bold and raw but this track lacks a little in comparison (but far better than Steadfast loyal and true which I don’t listen to). I like both versions 3 stars

I like the EP version more, simpler and no Jords. Not great but not bad either. The 50's Elvis was never bad.
