Little darlin', little darlin'
Oh where, are you, oo oo oo oo
Walla walla chipa mocka mogga
Oh my lover, oh just for you, only you

My darling, I need you
Darling I need you to call my own
To hold your life, your little foot, your hand
I knew someone would understand that
Hold my hand

My dear, I would run
To find without you
Oo oo oo oo oo
Oh, oo oo oo
That my love was just for you, 'n only you

Elvis really has fun with this oldie on stage and even though he mainly goofs off throughout the song, he hits some impressive notes. The original release was on the LP "Moody Blue" and that was taken from the 4/24/1977 show in Ann Arbor, MI and it is sillier than the version that appeared later on the "Elvis Aron Presley boxed set that was taken from a 1975 concert. Elvis' comment to the fans after that version of "If you'll buy that, you'll buy anthing" is funny and for the most part true.

So here is the guy who has the greatest catalog of 50's material to choose from to do in concert and he chooses this? Much like his own 50's songs, he shows it no respect but instead makes it a silly spoof. Well at least he sung a full version.

The Diamonds' renditions of this song are the only renditions that I've heard of this song that I like. Elvis' renditions of this classic Rock 'N' Roll song are all atrocious and embarrassing. Elvis did this song absolutely no justice and he showed it no respect too.

Our man already did this one in May 1958 in Waco Texas at the Residence of Eddie Fadal. He request for the single to be put on, then sings along with it, then he wants to hear it again saying "I like it I like it Eddie". Some "fans" just don't understand how wide Elvis' musical taste was. I love the 1977 version. Great fun.

It is definitely not a recorded work of art but I enjoy it for what it is. Our man having fun on stage or perhaps being ironic and wanting to vent his inner feelings. Anyway it is much better than the vast majority of private recordings that should not have seen the light of day so 3 stars from me.

He is mostly making fun of this song. But let's be clear, he also had another look on his early songs as he grew older. He knew that his fans wanted to hear the old songs, while he himself had developed another taste. Obeying their wishes he continued to do them, though mostly in a hurried manner. In this case he was just having fun with the fans and why not? His concerts breath a sense of intimacy between him and the fans present. So apart from the classic stature of the song I like(d) his way of fooling around. Common, life needs more smiles. It is already filled with enough seriousness. He made music to cheer us up and that's what this version does to me. Would I buy this record seperately? No. But as a part of a show that's different. Indeed (Deano1), his comments stated exactly how he felt about it.

Some may think Elvis did no justice to this classic and was just joking to embarrassment. So I invite them to look at the way the priginal was done! Full of fun and silliness. So Elvis is doing just doing the same. With his infectious smile and laughter, it becomes a moment in the love show that makes me laugh too. No harm, just brightening up one's mood. Not all should be taken seriously.

The song is intended to be cheasy, yes, but Elvis version is also terrible sung. It's unlistenable. How desperate must they have been, that they released this crap on a regular lp? A desaster performance of a shi##y song. 1 star.

This is desperation at its utmost! This tune and "Let Me Be There" (a duplicate release from another Elvis live LP-Originally sung by Olivia Newton John) both appear on his last LP "Moody Blue" to fill out an album. This is pathetic to be blunt. 1-star and that's being generous.

I wouldn't take this snippet too seriously! It's just fun, no more, no less! The Moody Blue version with the overdubs works ok with me!

Just a fun song that Elvis would do in concert. Never took it too seriously. He even mentioned that the lyrics were silly.
