It Won't Seem Like Christmas

Rating:
3.8 / 5

Words & Music: J.A. Balthrop

Oh, it won't seem like Christmas, oh, without you
Far too many miles are between
But if I get the one thing I'm waiting for
Well then I'll se you tonight in my dreams

Seems a long time since we've been together
It was just about to this time of the year
Looks like it's gonna be snowy weather
How I wish that you could be here

But it won't seem like Christmas, oh, without you
Far too many miles are between
But if I get the one thing that I'm wishing for
Then I'll see you tonight in my dreams

In the distance I hear sleigh bells ringing
The holly is so pretty this year
And the carol that somebody's singing
Reminds me of our Christmas last year

A song that struggles a little to find it's identity; but Elvis pulls it together nicely with great vocals and an ability to make you feel the lyrics that no other artist as ever had. This one is sad, yet hopeful. A nice closing track to side A of a terrific LP.

This one is played a lot during the holidays. I've heard it in different stores while shopping last christmas. A good song from a 5 star album.

Not a bad recording, I like 95% of Elvis' Christmas output.

What can you say about "The King" that hasn't already been said?

He brings what I deem to be, the true sentiment and feeling of Christmas to this very enjoyable recording.
