It has a Latin sound. Enough said. Nothing special.
This is such a magnificent and underrated song and I've never skipped it. Elvis' rendition of it was spectacular too.
I could never understand why this song was never released on the Pot Luck album or for that matter, I Met Her Today; either of these is a much superior candidate rather than the inclusion of Steppin' Out Of Line; an outtake from Blue Hawaii. There was a better version of For The Millionith And The Last Time included on the Pot Luck FTD issued CD and I believe elsewhere if my mind serves me correect.
I've always loved this song.I remember first hearing this on my friends'Elvis For Everyone 8-track as a kid.My fave version of this is the one on Theres Always Me.
Another Tepper/Bennett winner. Well its better than most of their fluff but that's not saying much. Elvis did as much as he could with it, but its a dud of a song.
This is a good song made into a great track by Elvis' voice. This one should have been the flipside of a "I Met Her Today", which should have been a single in '62 or '63. Two songs that were treated like leftovers and included on a mediocre album four years after they had been recorded.
I love this song, Elvis sounds wonderful - makes a very good song into an amazing one. Superb.

I love this song. It's one of countless examples of an Elvis song that will not fail to make me smile or feel happy when I hear it, no matter what my mood is. It's almost a Dean Martin kind of a song, but Dean didn't have the range Elvis did-- this song has some great high notes and some very nice low notes as well. In fact, I am going to search through the 3000+ songs on my iPod right now so I can hear it right now!
A lovely song with beautiful vocals.
I like this song. But nevertheless in 1961 it represents a sad premonition of what path would take Elvis career: deep into a Crooner sound and away from Rock'n'Roll, making room for the up coming British Invasion (that didn’t kicked Elvis out of Rock, instead it only had that magnitude because Elvis had long abandoned Rock scene and made plenty of room for it)
Certainly not a great song, but I've always enjoyed it. It's a pleasant listening experience and I like the tempo. This song or "I Met Her Today" certainly would have fit better on "Pot Luck" than
"Steppin' Out Of Line."
The fact that this song was released on an album of leftovers says a lot. When it came out back in the early sixties I hated this song for its tame and lacklustre arrangement. But through the years I learned to appreciate Elvis' effort.
another proof of the quality of the man. Turning an ordinary song into a little diamond. That's what makes him so great.
Certainly not the best written song but he does well with what little he had to work with. When I think that fans actually request songs like "Beach Shack", ballads like this take on a new importance!

Decent song - better than Fountain Of Love for sure. Would have fit better on the Pot Luck LP, instead of the Elvis For Everyone LP.
Elvis appears to be in a Latin mood on this track from the Elvis for Everyone album.Perhaps not the best ballad on the album, I think I Met Her Today deserves that prize. But a good song well sung.
This recording is on one of my earliest LPs. It touch(ed) me to hear Elvis sing this. Love this song.
I realize it is certainly not one of his best songs, but I always liked the smoothness of it.
