Oh yes, I know it's true
The more you fall in love
The more your heart can break in two
Now that you've said goodbye
For every tender kiss
I've had the tears I cry
I gave my heart and soul
All the love I knew
Oh how much it hurts me now
To know that we are through

I'll always feel this way
My arms will be so empty
You'll return some day and say
Your love, yes your big love
Will be here to stay
Till then it's

Your love yes your big love
Will be here to stay

I really like this song both on record and in the film where it could be an authentic concert and how he might have looked when travelling the world doing the real thing. Beautifully sung with an air of drama, and although I would have liked it to be longer, is easily worth 4 stars.

The Jordanaires are good on this one. And so is Elvis.

Poorly recorded, and I suppose technically it can be torn to shreds, but I still have a soft spot for this track and absolutely love it. It's a little different, and to me it's a classic of this part of Elvis's career; although I'm sure the purists will hate it. When I was a kid I remember the grown ups going mad over it.

Always love that ballad and the scenery in the movie is gorgeous. The musician in the back like shadows on a dark blue sky...

A nice performance by the King. It's nice to see some gems mixed in with all of the soundtrack material.

A good ballad I must admit to liking the tittle track best of all though.

When I play the Roustabout soundtrack I play it all the way through. I'd rather listen to any song on Roustabout than suffer through Girl Next Door Went A Walkin' on EIB. Love Big Love, Big Heartache. 4 stars.

Not bad for a mid 60's movie song. Strange there were no singles taken from the soundtrack, maybe the reason it got to #1 in the Usa. That said, it only got to #12 in the Uk album charts, his lowest charting of an album until 1967. So, was this a warning sign? Some poor tracks, but then again good ones like Little Egypt, A Wonderful World, Wheels on my Heels & of course Big Love Big Heartache.

I like this song quite a bit, but I like most of the Roustabout album and it's one of the movies I can actually watch all the way through without really being too annoyed. As for the songs, I think almost all of them are decent, including the title track, "Wheels On My Heels", "One Track Heart", "Hard Knocks", "It's a Wonderful World" and my favorite--"Brand New Day On The Horizon". Only "Carny Town" and "It's Carnival Time" do I skip.

In the mid sixties I went to see "Roustabout" maybe six or seven times just to watch Elvis perform this magnificent ballad plus of course "Little Egypt". In those days that was the only way to get a glimpse of what Elvis was like on stage.

Even as a young teen I knew this song & Little Egypt were head & shoulders above the rest of the LP. When a song is good, its good, when it crap its crap, and this one is good. I skip the rest of the album.

Together with `Little Eypt´ not only the best track from the Roustabout lp, but i think these 2 tracks are amongst one of his finest soundtrack recordings of the 60s. Big Love is a very fine ballad!

A gem from my favorite album!

A nice ballad from a soundtrack which hadn't quite developed the groan factor at this time.

A nice movie ballad from the film and soundtrack LP "Roustabout". This song has been messed up by RCA / BMG / Sony everytime they remaster it for a CD, but if you listen to it on a vinyl LP, it is an exceptional track. This track is on par with the great ballads from "Viva Las Vegas".

The best song from Roustabout. I even like it better than Little Egypt. Great ballad.
