As Long as I Have You

Words & Music:
Fred Wise/ Ben WisemanLet the stars fade and fall
And I won't care at all
As long as I have you
Every kiss brings a thrill
And I know that it will
As long as I have you
Let's think of the future
Forget the past
You're not my first love
But you're my last
Take the love that I bring
Then I'll have everything
As long as I have you
Let's think of the future
Forget the past
You're not my first love
But you're my last
Take the love that I bring
Then I'll have everything
As long as I have you

One of his weaker fifties ballads. The ballads brought the level of the soundtrack down.
This is such a beautiful song and it's from my favorite Elvis album and movie "King Creole".
Great ballad from a great movie. I like all the songs (except Steadfast) and the album contains at least 3 bona fide classics (the title song, HH Woman, & Trouble). This LP was so good it could have ranked among his best studio LPs. It had all the elements, Rock, Pop, Blues, Ballads. Never again would a movie soundtrack be as good.
Beautiful in it's simplicity, a good job by The King on his one.
Great song, great singing, great movie, Elvis' career was firing on all 8 cylinders during this time. An absolute classic.
Excellent movie ballad from the film "King Creole". I really enjoy the entire soundtrack LP (minus "Crawfish") and this is one of Elvis' best movie ballads along with "Don't Ask Me Why" from the same movie. 4 1/2 stars.
Lovely sung. My faveorite song on the King Creole soundtrack.
Why couldn't all of Elvis' film songs be of this standard? A superb 1950s ballad from the excellent King Creole movie. Where Elvis is seen on the stage of a smokey night club strumming his guitar and singing this tender song. He even tries a bit of Dino during the last line of the song. A very memorable song.
Lovely song, well sung and from the fifties. What more is there to be said!
Good fill in Lp song. Would never have made a good 'single' when compared with Jailhouse Rock / Hard Headed Woman / One Night / Wear My Ring Around You're Neck / A Fool Such As I etc.
I love this song. A simple beautiful ballad sung perfectly. Great moment in the movie as well.
So soppy but one of my favourite Elvis tunes! I love to sing along to this one!
