Amazing Grace

Words & Music:
Arranged by Elvis PresleyAmazing grace, oh how sweet the sound
That saved a wreck like me
I once was lost, though now I'm found
I was blind, but now I see
When we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Then when, when we first begun
Too many ages false and spent
I have already hung
This face and flock He saved us by
His endless grace will leave me whole
Amazing grace, oh how sweet the sound
To save a wreck like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found

His greatest gospel song. Take 2 is more bluesy than the master; both are oustanding. Funeral material for sure.
Sung with feeling and a certain reverance I like both the master and the ' more Elvis' soul take 2. Its been done to death by many artists and these versions are not necessarily the best, but I really rate them and have been known to play both versions consecutively.
Never cared for it. Drags too much for me.
love Elvis' version, even a Muslim friend of mine plays it sometimes, although he denies it publically..
