But now after loving you, what else is there to do
For honey, all the rest is just gonna have to be second best
I know I'll go through life comparing her to you
That's 'cause I'm no good, I'm no good to anyone after loving you

Your precious love cannot be erased by just another woman with a pretty face
And your memory, you know it will remain for it cannot be erased
Other loves may come along, they can't live up to you
That's 'cause I'm no good, I'm no good to anyone after loving you

Your precious love cannot be erased by just another woman with a pretty face
And your memory, you know it will remain for it cannot be erased
Other loves may come along, they can't live up to you
That's 'cause I'm no good, I'm no good to anyone after loving you

I said I'm no good, I'm no good to anyone after loving you
I said I'm no good, I'm no good, I'm no good to anyone
To anyone, to anyone, to anyone after loving you
That's 'cause I'm no good, I'm no good to anyone after loving you

Etta James cut a version off it after Elvis did his, so she knew what she had to do, but even she could not top Elvis. A really remarkable song.

It gets monotonous reviewing the 69 session songs, other than to say this is yet another brilliant piece of recorded music from them, that seems to touch several genre all at the same time.

An outstanding track on one of Elvis' best albums (and one of the best albums of all-time). It does remind me of "One Night" as stated previously. Elvis sings this one with grit and power and makes it one of his best recordings of his career. I love the smooth Elvis and I love the bombastic ballad Elvis of the 70's. Heck, I even like the soundtrack Elvis and of course the rock and roll Elvis of the 50's, but no one could sing a song like he delivers this one. What genre would you even call this? country? rock? blues?....That is Elvis combining all of them into one and making a song his own.

Loved everything... he recorded at the American studio sessions in Memphis in 1969. This is one of the many great songs that he recorded.

One of the crown jewels of American studio sessions. When Elvis sang songs like this he was really Elvis to me and untouchable.

One of the top songs from those legendary sessions. When I first heard, I thought, yeah Elvis found himself again. Reminds me of One Night a bit.

I've listened to this song (and the From Elvis In Memphis CD) a lot lately and I just had to say that this song blows me away everytime I hear it! The out-take version is also excellent with Elvis announcing that he is going to play piano. Like a lot of his music, this song is best played loud!
