Elvis and Dixie attended the annual Memphis Cotton Carnival.
Elvis performed at Fort Homer Hesterly Armory, Tampa, Florida at 2.30 and 8.15 p.m.
Elvis went back to Memphis where he stopped by the newspaper office and announced: "Man, I really like Vegas. I'm going back there the first chance I get."
For the first time Elvis stayed extended at his new Audubon Drive home.
Elvis went to the MGM soundstage to record the vocals for Baby I Don't Care. Afterwards there were some script rehearsals.
Since Red West went home for a couple of days, Elvis tried to recruit Alan Fortas to replace Red West, but this failed. Alan was already warned by Red of the restrictiveness of life in Germany. Elvis then contacted Cliff Gleaves.
