Bill Black died of a brain tumor and Elvis was quoted in the Commercial Appeal as saying that Bill " was a great man and a person that everyone loved. This comes as such a shock to me that I can hardly explain how much I loved Bill".
Elvis didn't attend the funeral, as he was afraid of causing disruption.
