Elvis performed at the International Convention Center Arena, Honolulu.
This show is now known as Aloha From Hawaii.
Just after midnight on Saturday night Elvis' performance was broadcasted live via satellite to most countries in the Far East. 28 European countries linked by EuroVision would see the show on a delayed basis later in the day. The show more than triples its announced goal of $25,000. At the end of the show Elvis threw both his belt and his cape into the audience. As soon as the audience had left the auditorium, and with the live broadcast completed, Elvis and the band performed Early Morning Rain and 4 additional songs from Blue Hawaii. This addition would be added to the U.S. version of the show, which would be broadcasted in April.
