Elvis, Joe Esposito, Cliff Gleaves, Lamar Fike and Jurgen Seydel traveled to Paris. During this visit they attended 5 karate classes given by Tetsuji Murakami, a Japanese teacher of the shotokan technique.
During this trip Elvis went to see the American Golden Gate Quartet to whom he had been reintroduced in Germany by Charlie Hodge. After the show, he sat backstage with the group, happily singing one gospel after another.
